Welcome to the July 2024 issue of Navigating Solo™ News, the Navigating Solo™ Network’s monthly newsletter. Visibility has significantly increased regarding the unique needs of navigating aging solo since the Navigating Solo site was launched in October 2021. This month’s newsletter highlights solo aging in the news, upcoming events, and our brand new initiative The Navigating Solo™ Podcast, launching August 2024.

As you know, I am passionate about meeting the unique needs of solos agers and enhancing the resources available for those navigating solo!

I am thrilled that our national website and network has grown significantly! I am so excited that our new The Navigating Solo™ Podcast will help us include the voices of many solo aging advocates, share individual stories of those navigating solo, connect solos to each other, and offer ideas and solutions for the many aspects of a compiling and implementing a navigating solo plan!

SAVvy Day: Solo Aging Visibility Day Recap

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024, a groundbreaking national initiative was launched to spotlight the unique experiences, challenges, skills, and strengths of individuals navigating aging without the reliable support of adult children or close family members. This inaugural event, known as SAVvy Day, set out to raise awareness, foster understanding, and build a supportive community for solo agers.

The Navigating Solo™ Podcast, launching August 2024, is a dedicated platform where we explore the unique needs and concerns of solo aging with a focus on empowerment, connection, and proactive planning.

You can easily subscribe to The Navigating Solo™ Podcast on all major platforms including Podbean, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts, YouTube, and wherever you get your podcasts.
